Can you put custom-made insoles in soccer cleats?
Asked 3 years ago
Hey everyone My son plays soccer at school, and he loves it. But he often complains about his feet being sore and achy after a game and long after. I have had a feeling that it has to do with the lack of support the shoes provide. Does anyone here know where we can get something like this checked out and if it would be possible to use custom-made insoles? Any guidance would help!

Yes, you can definitely put custom-made insoles in soccer cleats. In fact, if your son is experiencing foot pain while playing soccer, custom orthotics are an excellent line of treatment.
Foot pain is a likely outcome of wearing shoes lacking adequate support over prolonged periods of physical activity. Custom orthotics will support the foot structure and help reduce muscle fatigue and soreness after his soccer games.
Bear in mind that custom orthotics aren't made for all shoe types and function differently for different physical activities.
Upstep has custom orthotics intended for soccer that are the ideal fit for soccer cleats and will give your son the best comfort and support to prevent his feet from getting sore.

You can put custom-made orthotics in your soccer cleats or any other athletic shoes you may have. The orthotics will provide your feet with the support they need to not fatigue in soccer cleats throughout the game or training. As the muscles of the foot fatigue, the rest of the body has to compensate for the reduced input of the feet.
Orthotics could in fact improve your athletic performance and improve your endurance throughout the duration of the activity. Custom orthotics designed around the size of your shoes and around the shape of your foot will be your best option to optimize your comfort and performance. It will slow down the rate at which your foot muscles will fatigue, and ultimately allow you to play pain-free for longer. Upstep can provide you with a custom pair of orthotics to aid your feet with the right support, done in the comfort of your own home.

Several factors can cause heel pain and soreness in your son's feet. You first want to confirm the shoes are a good fit. You also want to make sure he's using proper techniques. Once done, you may consider getting a custom insert for the shoe. These inserts provide added comfort and support for the feet.
