How can I alleviate the knee pain that occurs after working an 8-hour shift?
Asked 4 years ago
Hi everyone. I'm a chef who works about 8 hours a day. Towards the middle of the day, I start to experience quite an intense pain in my knees. Does anyone know how I can take care of this? I also suffer from overpronation. Not sure if that affects anything.

The knee pain is most likely due to the overpronation. Overpronation disrupts the kinematic chain and increases the weight borne by the knees. It can also cause irritation and inflammation around the outside of the kneecap. Consider getting appropriate footwear and custom orthotics, as these can limit the pain.
