Are there any environmental factors that can contribute to peripheral neuropathy in the feet?

Asked 2 years ago

Hi there, I'm wondering if any environmental factors can contribute to the development of peripheral neuropathy in the feet. I've heard of things like diabetes, alcoholism, and autoimmunity disorders causing this condition, but I'm curious if any external factors could play a role. For example, could exposure to certain chemicals or toxins, like heavy metals or pesticides, potentially lead to nerve damage in the feet? Thanks in advance for any help!

Environments, where you are exposed to certain gases, chemotherapeutics, heavy metals, monomers, pesticides, and toxins can lead to neurotoxicity, resulting in peripheral neuropathy. This can develop acutely with short exposure or due to prolonged exposure. That's why you must pay attention to your environment.
