Does sesamoiditis lead to swelling?
Asked 3 years ago
Would sesamoiditis cause my foot to swell? I suspect that I might have it and I have a lot of swelling in that area. I was wondering if they are related.

Yes! You will see swelling.
The main symptom of sesamoiditis is pain that progresses under the ball of your foot. The pain changes gradually and you may notice redness and swelling. Sesamoiditis can make it hard to bend or straighten your big toe. It will also hurt if you move your toe.
