Are there any risks to using insoles for squatting?

Asked 2 years ago

Hello, I am interested in purchasing some orthotics for my squatting shoes however I am curious if using insoles while squatting poses any risks. I want to make sure that using them won't negatively impact my form or hinder my ability to perform the movement correctly. I'd appreciate any insights others have about using insoles for squatting.

Using insoles while squatting will improve your squats by elevating your heel while keeping the ankle neutrally aligned. Also, insoles limit overpronation of the foot, helping you to maintain proper form throughout the squat and reducing the risk of an ankle injury.
