When is plantar fasciitis healed?
Asked 3 years ago
After struggling with plantar fasciitis for a couple of months, I went in for surgery, and I can still feel the tendon stiffen up ever so slightly. When will this be healed?

It can take anything from 6 to 12 months for your foot to return to normal. You need to rest and ice intermittently at home to relieve discomfort and speed up the healing of your foot in the first few weeks. Stretch as tolerated and strengthen muscles around ankle and foot, but progressively and faithfully
Morning discomfort, or the lack thereof, is one of the most telling symptoms that plantar fasciitis is resolving. You’re healed if it goes away totally even after physical exertion.
Bruising and swelling are also reduced, resulting in less pain.
If you notice that your range of motion is starting to return and that stretching no longer causes discomfort, you are likely healed.
