How can I relieve lateral foot pain?

Asked 3 years ago

I'm experiencing a lot of pain along the outside of my foot. I feel like this might be because I tend to place most of my weight on the outside of my feet when I walk. I'm not sure why I do this, but the pain in my feet is becoming a problem. Can anyone suggest any ways to relieve this?

Acoustic shock wave therapy is the most effective and safe non-surgical treatment for plantar fasciitis. Around 91 percent of participants in clinical studies report positive outcomes- reduction in chronic pain and increased mobility. EPAT and Practicing safety in acute inflammation and during activity such as wearing orthotics reduces heel pain. Have you tried any of those metatarsal pads? I’m currently using the Dr. Scholls ones. The Dr Fredricks we’re too much for my feet. I could go on and on about all the things I’m tryin. I’m doing my Upstep impressions tonight. I hope yours come soon. Feel Better🌻 I use Arnicare gel for my foot pain. I didn’t get much relief from Voltaren gel. It’s a homeopathic gel made from Arnica flowers in France. It works immediately!

Orhotics are a cost-effective and conservative way to help you manage your foot pain. Orthotics work by supporting the underside of the foot by redistributing the weight through the entirety of the foot. This will in turn allow more weight to be taken on the inner side of the foot, and relieve the pressure placed on the outside of the foot. Custom orthotics can be made to suit your feet to ensure your feet have adequate support throughout the day. Orthotics can be used in multiple different shoes.

Massage of the foot can help relieve pain experienced, alongside other remedies such as foot soaking with warm water, Epsom salt foot bath. Gentle stretching of the muscles of the foot and lower leg will aid in pain relief, alongside exercises aimed at strengthening the muscles of the foot. In severe cases of pain, ice can be applied to the area and pain medication can be used.
