Are there any benefits for wearing insoles while hiking?
Asked 2 years ago
Hi there! I have recently started hiking and have thought about investing in an insole to wear with my hiking boots. This is because I suffer from discomfort and blisters after hiking long distances. Does anyone know if insoles prevent this, and if there are any other benefits that come with wearing them? I appreciate a response in advance!

There is certainly benefit from wearing orthotics while hiking as hiking usually involved rigid shoes and extended periods of time on the feet. Upstep has orthotics specifically for hiking, which aim to reduce fatigue that occurs in the muscles of the feet through support and reducing the load placed through high pressure areas of the feet from walking or going up/down steps. Many report great benefits and improvements in comfort from wearing orthotics in their hiking boots.
