Are insoles good for fallen arches?
Asked 3 years ago
I've been doing a bit of research on buying insoles for fallen arches. However, I can't seem to find a definite answer on whether or not insoles are good for fallen arches. Are they good?

You might find that insole orthotics will provide you with a great deal of benefit in feet with fallen arches. The benefit is not only in the feet, but helps maintain and promote normal biomechanics in the lower limbs and back. Insoles work to maintain arch height when weight is placed onto the foot, preventing an inward roll of the ankle, otherwise known as over-pronation. The support from insoles will lessen the risk of you developing ankle pain or other injuries, in the future.
The biomechanical stability of the feet will reduce your chances of developing pain in other areas, such as the knees, hips, and lower back. Insoles are a relatively cost-effective way to manage conditions in the feet and pay dividends in preventing other issues from arising as a result.
There are custom orthotics on the market which can be specifically tailored and designed around the shape, and structure of your feet. Insoles can also be used in a variety of shoes that you may wear on a day-to-day basis.
